Kindly note that we actually DO NOT recommend to do Mentawai Tribe trip during AUGUST as usually it will be bad weather in the ocean where guest will have big possibility to deal with strong wave and wind, also limited vision in the ocean. In that condition, the fast boats usually cancel to sail.  * NO Electricity and NO mobile phone access in Mentawai Island

TOUR ITINERARY :

Duration: 08 Days/07 Nights 
Starts/Ends: Padang

DAY 01: ARRIVAL PADANG

On Arrival in Padang, meet our guide and direct transfer to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 02: PADANG - SIBERUT – NATIVE VILLAGE  - Fast Boat Schedule : Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

Morning transfer to Muara Harbor for boarding at 6 AM in the morning, sailing to Muara Siberut. Breakfast box provided. Arrival at Muara Siberut making report to police station and after lunch we go to the local House village, then by small boat about 2 hours. It’s depend on the depth of water in the river. Arrival at Local House, set our bedding while preparing the dinner at Local house. Stay overnight at local house.

DAY 03: THE NATIVE’S VILLAGE

After having breakfast exploring the daily activities of Mentawai Tribe such as: search of Sago worm or making sago powder (as the main food of Mentawaian Tribe) or fishing or traditional loin cloths process.

DAY 04: THE NATIVE’S VILLAGE – TRADITIONAL CEREMONY

After having breakfast exploring the daily activities of Mentawai Tribe such as: search of Sago worm or making sago powder (as the main food of Mentawaian Tribe) or fishing or traditional loin cloths process. Finally evening see and join the traditional dances of Mentawai during the ceremonies in the evening.

DAY 05: NATIVE VILLAGE - MUARA SIBERUT – PADANG – on Tuesday

After breakfast we go to Muara Harbor by small boat and sailing back to Padang at 3 PM (15.00) about 3 - 3,5 hours. Arrive in Padang, transfer to your hotel in Padang for overnight stay.

DAY 06: PADANG - BUKITTINGGI TOUR

Breakfast at Hotel, then transfer to Bukittinggi via Anai Valley. On the way stop over at Anai Waterfall, Information Center of Minangkabau Culture in Padang Panjang, And then drive to Lake Singkarak & Pagaruyung Palace. Lunch will be served at local restaurant en route. then transfer to your hotel in Bukit Tinggi

DAY 07: BUKIT TINGGI – RAFFLESIA ARNOLDI

Drive for 30 minutes to Batang Palupuah Village to see Rafflesia Arnoldi flower in the jungle (IF blooming). Jungle walk itself might roughly take 90 minutes walk (the distance  depends on where the flower is blooming). After the jungle walk, it would be nice to have a leisure break at a local house by having a cup of traditional organic Coffee Luwak. And proceed driving back to Bukittinggi, have lunch and back to your hotel. After that you might take your free time by doing things on your own interests, such as easy walking around the market and visit Jam Gadang (Clock Tower) Bukittinggi.

DAY 08: BUKITTINGGI TOUR – PADANG – DEPARTURE

Breakfast in hotel, Bukittinggi City Tour visit Sianok Canyon (Ngarai Sianok) and Japanese cave, Fort De Kock, Kinantan Zoo, Museum Puti Bungsu, and Public Market of Bukittinggi.. In the afternoon drive to Padang Airport for your flight back home with stop en route at Pandai Sikek Village for wood carving & weaving handicraft.

M (15.00) about 3 - 3,5 hours. Arrive in Padang, transfer to your hotel in Padang for overnight stay.
